Guarding Your God-Given Secrets: When Faith Meets Scepticism
Be very careful who you share your secrets with!
I often feel misunderstood, not just by society, but even by those who share my beliefs. This realisation has impacted how I share my faith journey.
*Disclaimer to those who have ears to hear... this is just my personal journey call me crazy or whatever- there’s a video about how to hear God’s voice (on YouTube called: Our Five Most Memorable God Moments)and when I first got saved God was training me to hear his voice and I actually followed the video without having ever watched it and now that I watched it- it only confirmed to me that I did hear from God. This message is to warn the believers about sharing personal (secrets) with others- learn from me.
When I first got saved, I spoke to God through auto text, but stopped shortly after telling my care coordinator, and her scepticism killed it. At the time, I believed that was God speaking to me, until doubt crept in. When I admitted to her that I had stopped, she asked why, and I could tell she was pleased that I had stopped communicating with God via auto text.
Anyways, Things like God-given prophecy about your life don’t tell-
When I told a 42-year-old Christian lady (bear in mind this was online), she really hammered and started attacking the deliverer- ideas like “don’t trust her, who she thinks she is”?. Like, people, godly or not godly, can really try to attempt to sway you backwards- like I get having discernment and all, but when you question even what God said through a person, it would be like the Drowning Man story- how is one going to get saved? Read below the parable:
The Drowning Man
A fellow was stuck on his rooftop in a flood. He was praying to God for help.
Soon a man in a rowboat came by and the fellow shouted to the man on the roof, “Jump in, I can save you.”
The stranded fellow shouted back, “No, it’s OK, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me.”
So the rowboat went on.
Then a motorboat came by. “The fellow in the motorboat shouted, “Jump in, I can save you.”
To this the stranded man said, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.”
So the motorboat went on.
Then a helicopter came by and the pilot shouted down, “Grab this rope and I will lift you to safety.”
To this the stranded man again replied, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.”
So the helicopter reluctantly flew away.
Soon the water rose above the rooftop and the man drowned. He went to Heaven. He finally got his chance to discuss this whole situation with God, at which point he exclaimed, “I had faith in you but you didn’t save me, you let me drown. I don’t understand why!”
To this God replied, “I sent you a rowboat and a motorboat and a helicopter, what more did you expect?”
Back in 2024, I received a prophetic word at a church from a woman who came specifically to visit my pastor colleague’s church, and she was known for caring for orphans. She was a prophetic woman of God, and she had that gift- she prophesied over my other colleague first, then me and then my sister. the pastor’s wife back when she was single prayed a long time for her future spouse she was 40 years until the woman of God gave her a word. 3 years later, it came to pass- the woman of God said to her she will marry a Brazilian man who is young and it came to pass and met and got married- they were about 10 years apart- they are happily married.- only God would know the details.
That’s why the bible said not to treat prophecy as contempt- it will come to pass.
People can be quick to ask, " Oh, what’s your prophecy, " and then judge and condemn others- is this how God wants us to live- to be judgmental and hate others to the point we act like dogs and hurt each other?
Please let us believe, not judge others so quickly- like being sceptical really is a killer- like where’s the understanding you don’t have to agree, but can people at least show some respect for other believers with gifts and not diss them.
So don’t ever tell a soul about your prophecy until it comes to pass. It is no one’s business- they are more likely to be very nosy. Why let some busybody knock and curse you? Trust me, it’s not even worth telling Christians about the deepest secrets from your heart- it’s not just about your prophecy, but it’s also about your testimony. If there’s even the slightest hint that your testimony goes against scripture, but it’s very clear that God used you, people will not get that.
Like, today I met up with a Christian leader, and he asked how I became a believer since my family was not one, and I was sharing about parts of my testimony, I’ve mentioned about the train track part, and he asked how did you know you heard from God- he believed it was the devil trying to wipe me out. To the world, it looked like God wanted Abraham to kill Isaac at the altar when it wasn’t. At the time of my life, I was on fire for God, and because of that, things started to clash with my family, and my life had a radical transformation- the incident was proof of that. All I know is that with man, they demand an explanation, but with God, there’s none needed.
It’s best to keep private matters to God himself- no drama. I think people tend to forget that faith requires NO logic, just as intuition does, which is what I tried to explain to the leader: I felt God speaking through my spirit because he lives in me.
If other believers invite God/Jesus to sit and dine with him and actually believe in his heart, who are we to say no?
What I don’t understand is that even the most Godly person can hear from God more than most (Talking about Dakota Lee)- other believers are quick to call her a witch- like people do realise there are spiritual gifts where people can see in the spiritual realm, but there are so-called believers out there who do not believe that miracles are still working today. It’s like what the bible says about them denying the power of God. Some people are acting like the Pharisees and say that Jesus power is from the devil- how can someone drive out Beelzebub unless it’s the devil himself, they say? Matthew 12:24-28
I have had it with so-called religious people- their spirit is dead and dry bones. They need to wake up and be filled with God’s spirit lest they perish with others. Don’t be so high and mighty, thinking above the law. God is not pleased with these people; they are not bearing fruit of the spirit but of wickedness- in fact, they are performing like witchcraft, which is disobedience- they need to repent.
Last month, I found a very refreshing story that reminded me I wasn’t so crazy after all. It’s basically about a guy who told a non believer that he can hear God and so he teaches others to hear God simply just by asking and listening to the quiet voice- so he invited that man for lunch and he said ask God I don’t know like where the next place we should meet and he said a prayer but didn’t hear an answer until the guy said to him any thoughts came up? He said I don’t know for some reason the Thai place keep coming up and lo and behold when they went there for their next meeting, both forgotten that God said to go there, when they finished a man came up and cried I was suppose to speak to you about Jesus last week but didn’t and I was glad I saw you in the Thai place. He cried as well. You can watch it here skip the video to 32 minutes in, then you can find the above story mentioned: called Our Five Most Memorable God Moments
Writing to God:
Me: God, was the devil trying to wipe me out, and I was hearing things, and it wasn’t from you?
God: No, it wasn’t, I said Go because it brings me joy like it did when Abraham sacrificed Isaac on the altar, but I did not intend to harm his son. Many people have mistaken my ways for the devil, and it is not always easy to discern my will; nevertheless, I give my message through other means.
Me: Should I still add to my testimony
God: Yes.
Me: Lord, how can it help others to act in faith and not go haywire
God: You did what you did for my sake, and I am pleased with you- do not worry about what (Name) said, he was only concerned about what looks externally. I look at what the heart is- I would not allow the devil to harm you, and you know that. It is right when you heard me, for I live in you.
Me: Lord, do you have any words to say for the readers' naysayers?
God: Yes, to all your naysayers- don’t listen to them, I’m the Lord, have the final say in things, I allow things to happen, not all words hold power, but I, the Lord, allow each thing to bear fruit according to my will. Do not fear, focus on me and not on your enemies, for I, the Lord, will make you prosper in all things.
Me: Lord, could I ask if I can publish this conversation for the readers as proof or reassurance?
God: Yes, you may
End of convo
Prayer:
Lord, I pray that this message will reach those who need it. Lord, forget the naysayers and waste no time in delivering this message to your people. Teach them to be discerning about who to share their secrets with, so as not to cause harm to themselves. Lord, this world can be cruel- Lord teach the readers to be gentle as a dove but cunning as a snake, so as not to be so easily attacked. Let no man harm them with insults and pay back double what was stolen by the enemies. Let no evil take away what the Lord has given us, protect our given destinies. Lord, may you bless them and keep them.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen
In closing, remember that your most sacred moments and revelations are gifts meant to strengthen your faith, not to be weighed down by others' doubts. Guard your God-given secrets with wisdom, and trust that God understands your journey even when others do not. Let discernment guide you, and hold fast to your experiences because what God has spoken to you is powerful, even if not everyone is ready to hear it. May you walk forward in confidence, knowing that your faith is precious and that you are never alone on your path. P.S. If this message has helped you in any way, do let me know. I’m always trying to learn from life experiences and apply them to the words of God. Please share this message with others.
